I have heard people complain before about not having a space to do their art. I say to those people: if you really wanted to do it, you would make the space for it. You don’t have to have a dedicated studio, though you absolutely can. I have friends with amazing art studios. I just made the space in my bedroom. I use plastic table covers on my furniture, plus I am using plastic bins and crates as furniture, so it is not like I care if some paint, glue, or whatever gets on the furniture. I also make sure I don’t get anything on the carpet. My biggest works are on 9 x 12” canvases, but mostly 5 x 7”, so I don’t need as much space as someone who works with big canvases, sculpts, burns wood, etc. I also don’t spray anything in my room. I don’t varnish here. If I decided to varnish something, I would definitely go outside. Be smart, but don’t make excuses for not doing your art.
